Roughage refers primarily to feed materials that are relatively high in fibre and form an essential component of the ruminant diet.
Good-quality roughage supports normal rumen activity, chewing and digestion and is particularly important when animals are receiving concentrate feeds.
Pinnacle roughage products can include appropriate high-fibre grasses, hay, crop residues and other suitable materials prepared for livestock feeding.
We believe that concentrate should complement—not replace—quality roughage and forage. Our feeding solutions therefore encourage farmers to maintain an appropriate balance between forage, roughage, concentrate, water and good livestock management.
Groundnut haulms are the dried stems and leaves remaining after groundnut harvesting and are commonly used as livestock forage. Pinnacle supplies properly handled groundnut haulms for livestock owners, farms and commercial feed requirements.
Brachiaria is a tropical forage grass widely used for livestock feeding. Pinnacle Integrated Farms supplies Brachiaria in fresh, hay and silage forms, giving livestock owners and farms flexibility in selecting forage according to their feeding and storage requirements.
